Europe!

Well you go away for a holiday and come back to find that the Irish and French are no longer in Europe!!! Happy Days !!! -- Only joking Leinsterfan!

So Munster crash out and Wasps pulverise Leinster! Not something that a rugby genius such as myself would have predicted! But then who would have said that the little garlic munching surrender monkeys from Biaritz would have lost to Northampton or that Leicester would have beaten Stade Francais at the death? ......................Not a lot of us I am sure!

From an English point of view I was euphoric and then just as rapidly the rug is pulled from under your feet by the threat, and a genuine one it seems, that the English and French clubs will pull out of the Cup next season.

What the hell is going on??!!!

Even Dean Richards is dumbfounded.

I have to say that I look at Martyn Thomas (who is he anyway and where did he come from) and Francis Baron, and wonder how on earth did those two become the most powerful men in English rugby??

I am definitely not saying that you have to be an ex International player to be in a position of responsibility at the RFU, that would be crazy, but it would be nice to think that they might have a track record of success somewhere??!! Business , sport, anything!!!!

What a tragedy that a great rugby competition is being held hostage by old men with egos, intent on their own feuds rather than what might be in the best interests of rugby. Oh how that rings true of so many decisions surrounding rugby.
I sincerely hope that maybe the Celts can gang up on the RFU and force them to change their minds!
Don't the English just really piss you off !!!!

Hello dare,

Tis a truly awful state of affairs. If the english were to pull out, it would ruin a beautiful spectacle for us all. (The english teams getting beaten that is!!!). But fair play to them, both the welsh and the english showed way more hunger than us and completely deserved to get through.Leinsterfan *puts his jersey extremely deep into the washing basket*. I thought that Llaneli in particular played with great passion.

How could the english even think about pulling out of a competition with the prestige of the heineken cup, a competition which has been dominated by english winners??? And this year they have a great chance of taking the cup home again. How it saddens me that it could be the end of a beautiful era in competitive rugby, and I for one am glad I have witnessed the highs and lows, the passion and determination, and the excitment that the competition boasts. I have to stand up and applaud O' Driscoll as one of the few players to try and reason with the french to stay in the competition. His hunger to play against the best should be an inspiration to us all about where we want rugby to be in the future. I can say for one, that it has grown incredibly as a sport in Ireland over the last about 2/3 years, and is even outshining the Gaelic football, and the hurling to a certain extent, when their times overlap. It is obvious that the heineken cup has played a major role in the games success here. I am sure that the good people of northampton, the good people of leicester and the good people of london, who have gone out and spent every penny to support their teams, and in turn have been rewarded with success will be wondering why on earth would we consider pulling out! I think the people responsible should take a good look at the faces and efforts of those people, people who have put a lot on the line to see that their team becomes the best in europe when making their final decision.

Will don't sit on the fence about the RFU :-)

It is about time the RFU recognise the efforts the clubs have made in promoting rugby in England. Both the French and Italians have ceeded voting rights to the clubs why not the RFU?

If Tigers do win the HC for a third time do they keep it?
