The Good old French
I see Bernard Laporte, who reminds me of a mad professor and certainly behaves like one, has changed his winning side! he wants to create competition within his squad! He wants an edge to each player, and he wants them all slightly unsure of their places. I can't help thinking that he is trying to do a 'Graham Henry', but the problem is, and it's a fairly major one, it is far too close to the World Cup now.
Teams need to be settling down, generating that instinctive understanding and trust within the combinations, not always looking over their shoulder and wondering what combination the professor is going to come out of the laboratory with this time!
At least it gives us all hope that such a talented squad as the French are, will be stopped from reaching their awesome potential by the strange selections of their eccentric leader!!

Obviously his policy towards selection is, "La Porte est toujours ouverte".
But you can catch a cold if you leave your door open too much.
(Hows that for a contrived gag?)
Not so sure Laporte is trying to do a 'Graham Henry'. Perhaps more of an 'Andy Robinson'.
If Pelous steps down from international rugby only to return the moment the coach is replaced you'll know I'm right.
Anonymous,
Interesting angle! Don't you think Philippe St Andre will be the nest little general of Les Bleus??
